Yes, I do believe the Dallas Cowboys can come out victorious again on Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings. This game won’t be a cakewalk like the Philadelphia Eagles were the last two weeks though. The Vikings have a lot of talent and are a very good team.

Favre had another great season up in Minnesota and turned good receivers into great ones. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say the Vikings have one of the best receiving cores in all of football.

Sidney Rice is a guy that’s almost impossible to shut down. You have to figure out a way to limit his catches, not prevent him because he’s going to do a little damage no matter what.

Percy Harvin is a Rookie of the Year candidate, so you know he’s good. Visanthe Shiancoe is the Tight End, who actually leads the team in touchdown catches, but he can still hurt you the full length of the field.

However, those receivers for Minnesota are not the issue in this game. It involves Adrian Peterson.

If he has a good game, then it make it a lot harder to beat Minnesota. If he has a bad game or is limited, then Minnesota loses. Carolina and Arizona stopped Peterson and won the game. In fact, they dominated the Vikings.

Dallas has a really good rush defense, so it’s very likely Peterson will not have a good game.

The Cowboys might struggle equally as much rushing the ball because the Vikings have a good rush defense too. but it won’t matter for them. Both rush defenses were in the top five in the league at stopping the run.

That means it’s going to be a battle between Brett Favre and Tony Romo.

Favre will have to do more by himself and that will probably lead to more turnovers and mistakes. It makes the Vikings very one dimensional, and they haven’t been able to win when that happens. They are too dependent on the rush.

The Cowboys have proven they can win when their rushing attack gets shut down. I’m not saying that happens, but if it does the Cowboys will still be okay.

The reason for the Vikings good record is simple. They played vastly weaker teams. Cleveland, St. Louis, Detroit, and Seattle were among the worse teams in the NFL. I’m not sure you will find a schedule easier than that.

This game is an easy prediction for the Cowboys, but it won’t be an easy win.
