Well, the Dallas Cowboys run is finally over this season after a loss to the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. It was a good season for Dallas despite some issues. Yesterday’s loss though is a real heart breaker, at least to the fan, because of the domination by the Vikings.

I said the Cowboys would win when the Vikings become more of a one dimensional team. Well, the Vikings did become more of a passing attack, but the Cowboys secondary was outplayed.

The secondary could not stop plays from turning into big plays. Big plays change the momentum of a game, and they all went the Vikings way.

Shaun Suisham didn’t help the Cowboys either with his missed field goals. However, he didn’t lose the game for Dallas. The game was about scoring touchdowns not kicking field goals.

Miles Austin was finally shut down because pressure got to Tony Romo too many times. The rhythm of the Cowboys offense never got going.

It’s not usually a victory when the tight end leads the team in receiving, and that’s what happened yesterday.

The game was simply one of those when you get beat. Minnesota was a better team yesterday and it showed.

Be sure to hear more thoughts on the Cowboys and the rest of the playoff action in the next podcast later this week.
