Well, that was certainly a great game to watch. It was one of the best games I’ve seen all year and among the best ever. I’m not only talking about the Saints victory either.

As far as the actual game goes, there was a little bit of everything. A goal line stand is always fun to watch and talk about. The onside kick was absolutely crazy and genius at the same time.

That kick won the game for the Saints. It gave them the momentum and overwhelming confidence. Say what you want about momentum, but the truth speaks for itself.

The game also had a very smooth feel to it. The referees kept the whistles in their mouths and let the game go. Did you notice how quick the game went?

I think the whole game was played in roughly three hours. The NFL might be on to something with the early evening start.

This year’s Super Bowl is now the most watched program in television history. Move over MASH. I don’t think there’s any doubt the NFL is now America’s favorite sport.

The New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts isn’t exactly a game which you would expect to break viewing records.

The one thing that continues to get worse and worse is the commercials. It’s never good when the commercial you remember the most is one with chickens promoting a free Grand Slam breakfast.

I think I’ll put something up on the commercials next week. I have a theory the Daytona 500 has better commercials. Last year, that was certainly the case.

This is the greatest time of year for sports guys, and it’s only just beginning. Enjoy it.
