I woke up this morning to the very exciting news that Theirry Henry, one of the greatest players this generation as well as one of the classiest in my opinion at least, has joined the New York Red Bulls. You cannot imagine my excitement knowing a player with such class had decided to opt-out of joining an English side, French side, or Italian side to join the MLS. This bodes well

for us here in America.

Listening to his interview this morning on ‘Morning Joe’ he chronicles the growth of Soccer from the first time he came here, where he sat down comfortably and drank coffee to now, where soccer is growing beyond the fringe status it has always had in America. Some have questioned this as another Beckham debacle, but frankly it cannot be possible. For one, Thierry Henry has always been about football. He has been a prolific striker, elevating himself to Legendary status at Arsenal. He comes here with an agenda to promote football. He may not have the fanfare that Beckham has, but he sure does have better skills, moves and finishing.

VIVA Thierry Henry. Check out some of the higlights of his career below.
